Communicative Tool

Communicative tools in ICT refer to digital platforms and technologies designed to facilitate communication, collaboration, and information sharing among individuals or groups. These tools enable seamless and efficient exchange of ideas, data, and messages, leveraging technology to enhance connectivity and interaction.

Advantages

  1. Instant Communication: Communicative tools allow for real-time messaging and conversations, enabling quick exchanges of information.
  2. Global Connectivity: These tools break down geographical barriers, connecting individuals worldwide for collaboration and communication.
  3. Multimedia Integration: Users can incorporate various media forms (such as images, videos, and documents) to enhance communication.
  4. Synchronous and Asynchronous Communication: Facilitates both instant, synchronous communication and delayed, asynchronous interactions, catering to different communication needs.
  5. Increased Efficiency: Streamlines communication processes, reducing time delays and promoting efficiency in information sharing.

Purposes

  1. Facilitate Remote Work: Enable individuals to communicate and collaborate efficiently, irrespective of physical location.
  2. Enhance Learning and Education: Support distance learning, virtual classrooms, and online collaboration among students and educators.
  3. Boost Productivity: Streamline communication within organizations, teams, or communities to enhance productivity and workflow.
  4. Foster Networking: Facilitate networking opportunities, enabling professionals to connect, share insights, and build relationships.
  5. Promote Social Interactions: Enable individuals to connect with friends, family, and communities through social media platforms and messaging apps.

In line with this, Google Classroom functions as a communicative tool in ICT by providing a platform for teachers and students to interact, share information, and collaborate on assignments. Teachers can post announcements, assignments, and resources for students to access, while students can submit their work, ask questions, and engage in discussions with their peers. The platform also allows for real-time feedback and grading, enabling efficient communication between teachers and students. Overall, Google Classroom enhances communication in the classroom by facilitating seamless interaction and collaboration in the digital space.

We have basic knowledge on how Google classrooms work but through the communicative tool, we were able to learn how to create it. We first chose a subject from a primary level and selected a topic. We created a google classroom as a teacher and designed reading materials, assignments, and quizzes along with how to evaluate and grade them.

Here is a link to a Google form containing a quiz from Class IV, Chapter 1: Matter.
